AnnRuel Studios/ Maine Digital Photography is owned by Jim and Marlene MacNaughton. We shot our first model portfolio in 1979 and our first wedding in 1984. Since then and several hundred thousand images later, Here we are. Several years ago we have made the adjustment to digital with great excitement over the money we have been able to save our customer. Models that we shot many years ago, we find we are now shooting their children and from one wedding We shot in the 80's , We now have shot their daughters wedding. AnnRuel Studios as the family photographer has become a tradition!
But as we changed to digital we also knew we needed to change our name since we no longer have studios or a dark room. Our original name was AnnRuel Studios for our photography and Elite Pride for the model management as well as Maine Digital Media for our Video productions. 3 names for one business, so now we decided in 2008 to drop the other sites and to just go with MAINE DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY. The AnnRuel Studios name will still be attached for about a year or so since Everyone knows that name. Jessica and Derek MacNaughton who were not even born when AnnRuel studios started now both work in the family business. Jessica as a photographer and Derek as a videographer and video editor. Jim's photo assistant Heather Bowman has also joined the team as a photographer with about a dozen weddings under her belt
Zachary Labbay has joined us as a videographer . We have several other part time videographers and several photographers that work with us on different projects but only because We know they hold the same values near and dear to their hearts as we do in every shoot. This year has already started out as a banner year for us in pre bookings alone and we feel very blessed to make a living doing something we love to do. Over the years we have had a lot of work done that we are very proud of and met a lot of great friends. We look forward to doing work for you in the future
